As much as 20% to 60% of the energy used to operate compressed air systems is wasted! One of the major contributors to this waste is operating air systems at elevated pressures.

Well known is the fact that compressed air, stored at higher pressures, can provide a capacitance effect for sudden hign volume demands. Less known is that higher pressure storage, that is not properly controlled and managed, will result in not just the additional energy to compress to a higher pressure (0.5% energy for every 1% pressure increase), but also significantly higher air consumption from all compressed air users (in some cases up to12% more)!

The application of Ingersoll Rand PacE control effectively uses system storage to compensate for high, random air usage and avoids the need to increase the entire system pressure. Similarly, the PacE control also eliminates the need for compreesors to be false loaded or short cycle due to the same high, random air usage.
